Description

More cuts per meter, a finer finish cut at a fraction of the operating cost.

The TDR-22-6 introduces a 6 blade deck using 40.6 cm long blades. These blades and a high tip speed provides more cuts per meter of travel, resulting in a finer finish cut, similar to that of a reel mower but at a fraction of the operating cost! The TDR-22-6 offers unparalleled performance and value as it incorporates many standard features and the reduced maintenance designs that have been field proven in existing production mowers.

Six-way deck float allows the full width 15 cm diameter steel HEX Drive Rollers on the front and back of each deck to follow changing ground contours. The productivity advantage of Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ is standard equipment on the TDR-22-6.

Operators can slightly raise the decks off the ground with the PTO engaged, making the TDR-22-6 “easy on the turf” when turning at the headlands, resulting in more harvestable acres! The unique bolt-on deck design lowers the cost of ownership over the long term. Independent suspension provides smoother travel between fields and the standard high floatation tires minimize ground compaction. The peace-of-mind reliability and productivity of the TDR-22-6 is only available from Progressive.

• Maintenance free sealed bearings.
• The height of cut is easily adjusted 1,3 to 10 cm
• More cuts per meter of travel for a finer finish cut.
• Shock absorbing torsion suspension.

Pro Lift-N-Turn™ The productivity advantage of Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ system is standard equipment. Operators have the ability to slightly raise the decks off the ground temporarily with the PTO still engaged, making turning easier on the turf as the weight of the mower is distributed between the tractor and the floatation tires. An automatic mechanical stop prevents the decks from raising too far. The result is less product damage from dragging the rollers across immature turf. Progressive’s Pro Lift-N-Turn™ has simply eliminated the issues competitive mowers face when turning at the headlands. An optional extra-wide profile turf tire (33×16 LL-16.1 10pr) is available.

A Finer Finish Cut with Six Blades The TDR-22-6 has 6 blades in each of the three decks. They are equipped with replaceable Pro-Ez blade tips for efficient and economical operation. The high tip speed of the 41 cm long blades provides more cuts per meter of travel, resulting in a finer finish cut, similar to that of a reel mower but at a fraction of the operating cost.  Forward openings in the bolt-on deck shells enhance air flow which both aids in standing the grass up before cutting as well as permitting the even distribution of the discharged clippings.

Lowering the Cost of Operation The key to reducing operating costs and improving productivity is to eliminate daily routine greasing. Progressive’s field-proven maintenance free blade spindle assemblies, HEX-Drive Roller-End bearings and 100 hour greasing interval PTO shafts eliminate all daily greasing requirements!  Reduced greasing requirements not only protects the owners investment from a missed service, it also reduces overall maintenance time. The result is more available production time. The height of cut is easily adjusted from 1,3 to 10 cm using the 2,5 cm diameter acme thread adjusting screw.  All height adjustment locations are fully accessible. An easy-to-read height gage makes in-field adjustments simple to perform using the on-board tool.

Bolt-on Deck and Galvanized Option:  For producers who grow in sandy, or acidic soil conditions, the bolt-on deck design allows for inexpensive replacement of the deck if necessary. Originally introduced in 2008, the galvanized deck option provides added protection necessary for a long service life in these types of soil conditions or where rusting from fertilizer use is a concern. The bolt-on deck design is made possible only because Progressive uses a separate deck frame design in the construction of the TDR-22-6.
